I can see why you would not want to leave Rocky Point. We feel the same way about Eugene. Although I would rather be somewhere a bit less crowded, at this point Eugene is home and likely will be until they carry us off!! But it sure is nice to be able to get away, even if it is just to other parts of Oregon. I love Oregon.

I appreciated your response to Judy's comment. Choosing to let go - yes, it is a choice. And I love how time seems to dull the hurtful memories and sharpen the good ones.Donna Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161069942110860372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915357815051575646.post-55347137265260880222012-07-07T03:28:55.147-07:002012-07-07T03:28:55.147-07:00Great post Sue & I especially like your words,...Great post Sue & I especially like your words, "I am thrilled by the birds, the silence, the clear sunny skies, the forest". " "The night was silent except for the lake breezes and dark until the moon rose. Not a soul around, and just four miles from the highway. Nice". Well, that sounds like my kind of Utopia as well & I can sure understand your decisionn for not wanting to move over to the other side of the mountain. Oh how I long for the kind of quiet peaceful environment you have there..........Al Bossencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04307619781955351484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915357815051575646.post-73627953937770210122012-07-06T19:32:03.371-07:002012-07-06T19:32:03.371-07:00I can see why you love your Rocky Point, at least ...I can see why you love your Rocky Point, at least from your comments and photographs. And this little piece of heaven is only 10 miles from your equally beautiful house and its grounds. I can certainly see why you would not want to give up your place in the midst of such beauty. Now if I can only make it out to Eagle Ridge and one of those sites right on the water I'll bet I won't want to leave either.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00328866430156879312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915357815051575646.post-45217112829872391922012-07-06T11:13:36.430-07:002012-07-06T11:13:36.430-07:00Yes, Judy. A good way to do it. It's nice to hear someone say that they know how fortunate they are to live in such an incredible place.

Loved your pictures. I have a movie of pelicans flying in a tight formation over a lake--as graceful as you would imagine swans to be.

Thanks, again--your writing is beautiful.hobopalshttp://travelswithmrnimble.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
